Each of us has an incredible opportunity to influence the future of climbing and the greater conservation movement.

A powerful movement of climbing advocates is gaining momentum, and it's driven by people just like you. Every day, climbers all across the country are taking action to protect the lands and outdoor experiences we love.
At Access Fund, our job is to make sure you’re the most effective climbing advocate you can be—whether that’s elevating your voice to lawmakers on urgent conservation and access issues, providing grants for local projects and rebolting efforts, connecting you with volunteer opportunities at your local crag, or helping you minimize your environmental impacts. We are climbers, and we are a powerful force for protecting the places and the sport we love.
The only question is, where will you plug in?
In 2015, the owners of Medicine Wall took drastic measures and closed the crag to the public. They stripped all of the hardware from the wall and local climbers lost a beloved climbing resource. Learn how Access Fund and TCC opened it back up.
Access Fund was founded in 1991 to protect America’s climbing. We’ve made so much progress on that front—from passing bills in Congress to buying threatened climbing areas to building sustainable trails—but our work is not done. In fact, it’s just as important as ever.
Access Fund represents the collective voices and interest of American climbers by drawing on hundreds of years of combined experience in:
Public Lands Policy & Advocacy
Stewardship & Conservation
Land Acquisition & Protection
Grassroots Organizing & Advocacy
Climber Education
Risk Management & Landowner Support
